Catalysed® Bioremediation of Soil

How Catalysed®Bioremediation Works

The suitability of a site for bioremediation depends on the contaminant's biodegradability, the site geology, and the contaminant's chemical characteristics. The first phase of any remediation project is to characterize the subsurface. From this characterization the concentration and distribution of pollution and the site's geophysical characteristics, such as permeability of the soil and depth to water, will be determined.

The Catalysed®Bioremediation process generally starts with the installation of a network of biosparging wells surrounding a venting well. Once the site characteristics are known, the well network locations can be planned and the wells installed. Experience indicates that the most effective and quickest procedure is to use small biosparging wells located in a circular pattern and drilled only to the depth of the groundwater surface. The larger and deeper venting well located at the center of the circular network usually will penetrate approximately 3 to 5 feet below the groundwater surface.

EcoBio's Catalysed® Bioremediation

Developed and patented by Professor Professor Roberto Blundo of ________ University in _______,________, Catalysed® Bioremediation, is the process whereby bacterial microorganisms are employed to destroy and/or reduce the toxicity of hazardous contaminants in the environment.

What makes the EcoBios Solution Different?

Why EcoBios and not a different means of bioremediation? The difference is in a patented process of growing the specific EcoBios bacteria that Professor Blundo has spent over 25 years developing. This process allows the bacteria to be more resilient and to multiply more quickly in the presence of a food source (the contamination). Another benefit of the EcoBios bacteria is that it may be employed either aerobically or anaerobically, as necessary.

Specific Applications Catalysed®Bioremediation

Specific applications for the Catalysed® Bioremediation system include:
• Soil and groundwater remediation
• Wastewater treatment plants
• Industrial waste stream process water
• Stormwater runoff
• Gray water reclaimation
