Engineering
This engineering discipline deals with the solution
of problems involving soils and rocks. It includes
soil and rock mechanics and foundation design. Roaring
Brook Consultants can do soil density testing, and
slope and soil stability analysis for projects that
need long-term support. Earth dams and other retaining
structures may also need to have their stability
evaluated. Foundation designs, which focus on the load
carrying element used to connect the structure to the
ground, need to be analyzed for their durability.
Other aspects of this discipline can include footings,
piles, and drilled piers, as well as retaining walls
