Tower Crane Removal

During construction work at Children's Hospital in Boston, MA, a tower crane was erected on the building roof. At the end of the project this machine needed to be lowered to the ground. Roaring Brook Consultants worked with Julian Crane to develop a procedure to remove the tower crane. A derrick crane was used to lower the sections off the roof, a method not used in Boston for over 20 years. Roaring Brook Consultants designed the frame and support structure for the derrick crane.
